Here’s the thing. It’s no secret that education can sometimes feel boring and uninteresting for small children. But it doesn’t have to be that way!
Here at The Preschool Place we believe that learning should be FUN!
We’re Toni and Megan, owners of The Preschool Place!
We have over 15 years of combined experience in the classroom, and we are passionate about learning through PLAY! We run a preschool with four different locations and over 200 students.
When the global pandemic hit, we became passionate about a fun and quality education being available to every child. Homeschooling can feel so overwhelming and hard. That’s why we took our entire preschool curriculum and moved it into an online format!
We have hundreds of videos and activities for an entire school year of learning, discovering, and most importantly… having fun! The best part? We do all the teaching! All you have to do is press play.
Make science exciting with this fun, hands-on Gummy Worm Science Experiment for Preschool and Kindergarten! Children will make a prediction, observe what happens when a gummy worm sits in water overnight, and measure the results to see how it changed.
This simple science experiment introduces young learners to the scientific process while building observation, prediction, and measurement skills. It's a great addition to a preschool science unit, a candy-themed activity, or a hands-on STEM lesson!

Why Teachers Will Love It
Young children are naturally curious, and this experiment gives them an exciting way to explore what happens when a gummy worm is left in water. The printable worksheet helps guide children through the scientific process in a way that is appropriate for early learners.
It's also a great opportunity to introduce measurement and comparison in a meaningful context. Children can see the results of their experiment, measure the changes, and use their observations to explain what happened.
